Cubbage grew up on a family farm in southwest Missouri. He went on to the University of Missouri where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in Agriculture Economics and Agricultural Journalism. Upon graduation in 1987, he went to work as news editor of an agricultural publication, Farm Talk Newspaper. In 1992 he came back to his family farm. The genesis for Prime Meridian dates back to 1995 when Steve convinced his father to install their first yield monitor on their John Deere 9500 combine. That’s where his precision story begins and as they say the rest of history.
